About the Process

The Green Ribbon Commission was appointed by the Mayor in February, and met between March and December 2005.

Continual research, consultation with experts, a careful look at our emissions, and evaluation against criteria went into recommending the best solutions to meet the goals of the Kyoto Protocol.

The Commissions recommendations will be the basis for the Mayor's Climate Action Plan, to be released in late 2006.
