Judicial Officers

The Municipal Court of Seattle's eight judges are elected to judicial departments for a four year term. One Commissioner is appointed by the Judges.

The majority of their workload is dedicated to jury trials and pre-trial hearings. The judges also hear sentencings, arraignments, reviews, and non jury (bench) trials. The Courts judicial officers are also empowered by the laws of the State of Washington to perform Marriage Ceremonies.
