DPD issues thousands of OTC permits for items that don’t require plan review. Most of the forms needed for these permits are available online on the OTC Forms page. Be prepared! Download, print and fill out your forms before you get to the OTC Desk, located in the DPD Applicant Services Center.
OTC permits include:
- Electrical without plan review (apply online)
- Boiler & Pressure vessel
- Refrigeration
- Residential furnace
- Side sewer
The following permit types are also processed at the OTC Desk, but most require additional plan review and are routed either to a plans examiner or to the Fire Department for review prior to permit issuance:
- Electrical with plans
- Fire alarm
- Elevator
- Side sewer (for larger, more complex projects)
- Signs, billboards or awnings*
