Mission

The RecTech Coalition mission is to provide programs that effectively utilize technology for education, recreation and community services for children, youth, adults, and neighborhoods.

About RecTech

RecTech (short for Recreational Technology) represents the technology learning and opportunity programs provided in computer labs located in our community centers.

RecTech centers provide a wide range of learning opportunities and activities for youth, adults and seniors. We use the tools of computers and multimedia to provide programs which help develop skills, train tomorrow’s leaders, encourage recreation and health, build community and connect residents to vital services.

RecTech is directed by an alliance of staff, managers and community advisory council members and is administered by the non-profit Associated Recreation Council in partnership with the City of Seattle. RecTech is committed to closing the digital divide and ensuring opportunity for all.

Our centers include:

RecTech centers

  • provide and promote continued learning and growth in a dynamic environment
  • share technology resources and experience
  • help and support each other in a non-threatening partnership
  • leverage our strength and resources for quality and sustainability
