Next step for Opportunity Fund process.
We are pleased to announce that we have received more than 150 Proposal Letters. Congratulations on such an amazing turnout!
The next step is to develop your application which is due on April 2, 2010. (Sorry, we cannot accept applications unless we have received an initial proposal letter.) Parks staff will help project proponents with their application packages. If you would like to meet personally, please call or email one of the Opportunity Fund planners listed above.
The Opportunity Fund provides funding only for community initiated park development or property acquisition projects. Parks will award up to $7 million to projects in this first funding cycle of the Opportunity Fund. The Levy Citizens Oversight Committee has developed criteria for evaluating, nominating, and recommending a package of Opportunity Fund projects to the Mayor and City Council.
