Public Records Requests
Seattle Municipal Court is committed to openness, transparency, and provides reasonable access to court records and administrative records in response to public records requests. We respond to requests in compliance with Washington State Court Rules, applicable Washington State and Federal statutes, and court policy.
Requests for Court Records
Court records relate to a proceeding or case. Case information and many case records are provided online through the Seattle Municipal Court Portal.
Case records not available online may be requested using the Request for Court Records form and emailing it to SMC_Copy_Requests@seattle.gov or via fax (206) 684-8115.

Requests for Administrative Records
Administrative records relate to the management or administration of the court.
Please submit your request by completing the Request for Administrative Records form and emailing it to smc_pio@seattle.gov.
Requests for Data
Requests for bulk court records and information from the court's Municipal Court Information System may be requested using the Data Dissemination Agreement.
